A Note from Our Principal,
Thank you so much to all of the parents who participated in our Teacher Appreciation week activities and fun. I know that all of teachers truly appreciated all of your kind words, thoughts and generosity. The food was delicious! It is hard to believe how fast this year is flying by. As we kick off our summer camp, I know that the children are so excited about all of the fun activities, visitors and field trips (for our school age campers) that we have planned this summer. We are looking forward to spending an amazing summer with your children!
Sincerely,
Kani Kelly
Summer Safety
Many of the special events and activities we have planned for this summer are outdoors. Whether it’s a nature walk or a splash day, sunscreen is needed to ensure that everyone has a good time. If you’ve not already done so, please put a labeled container of sunscreen in your child’s cubby.
Splash Day
Please make sure to check the summer camp calendar for splash day dates. You will need to make sure that your child has on a swim suit, or has a change of clothes, a towel, shoes and sunscreen. To help the teachers make a smooth transition into splash day, please bring your child dressed for splash day (especially for the younger age groups). The teachers will change/help change the children after splash day is over. Each year our students look forward to these special days and we can’t wait to share the fun photos with you through Links 2 Home!
School-Age Field Trips and Events
Links 2 Home is just one of the ways to keep on track with field trip times and requirements. There is also a large calendar posted just inside of the School-Age classroom and a calendar in the lobby as well. Also, your child must be signed up for each field trip; the permission forms will be out on the table by the back door. Please make sure to note the departure and return times for each trip. When you are looking at the field trips please note the age groups for each trip. K/1st – children that have just finished Kindergarten or First Grade. 2nd& up – children that have just finished Second grade or above.
