July 2017 Newsletter
A Note from Our Principal,
It is hard to believe that we are already in July. Summer is flying by, just don’t tell the children that. We are excited about another fun filled month here at Xplor. We have fun visitors coming, field trips for the school age children, a school age only Parents Night Out, and at the end of the month we will already be in “back to school” mode. Please make sure to check your summer calendars for visitor and trip updates. The children had a lot of fun with Kona Ice, Splash Days, Field Trips and Reading Buddies last month. I know they are very excited about all of the fun activities we have planned for this month.
I am thrilled to announce that Xplor is taking part in a wonderful cause called Alex’s Lemonade Stand. This organization was developed to help raise money for childhood cancer research. As a company, we have committed to helping raise money for research that will hopefully save lives! As a school, we have committed to raising $300.00 for this cause. In order to reach our goal, our school age children will have a lemonade stand set up in our front lobby the week of July 17 – 21. The children will be selling lemonade, sweet treats and donation lemons. Each day they will feature a different kind of lemonade for you to try. We will also be selling lemons that you can write your name on to show that you have donated, or you can have your picture taken to display that you have donated. They have talked me in to dying my hair…if we meet our fundraising goal. The color that I will dye my hair will be determined by the number of tickets in the winning color. Tickets will be on sale at the lemonade stand as well. Stop by and help support a wonderful cause!! Help us SQUEEZE out childhood cancer.
I hope you have had a chance to meet some of the new teachers that have joined our Xplor family since summer started. I know that the teachers love your children and are thrilled to be a part of our team. Just in case you missed the email…
Ms. Nachet is in our Infant classroom
Ms. Adria is in our Toddler classroom
Ms. Daniela is in our Intermediate classroom
Ms. Christine is in our Intermediate classroom
Ms. Megan M is in our Beginner classroom
We also have several new families that have joined our growing family. I know the children love making new friends and have loved getting to know the children.
We are sasd to be saying “good bye” to a member of our Xplor family. Ms. Jennifer L, in our Beginner 2 classroom, is leaving us. She has been giving an opportunity that will allow her more flexibility with her school schedule. I hope you will join me in wishing her well!
I am sure that July will be just as busy as June was as the children continue to grow and learn. They will come home with new stories, songs, friends and fun facts that they learned. I hope that you are enjoying all of the pictures and news on the Links 2 Home app.
Sincerely,
Kani Kelly
