Happy August! Wow, where did summer go? We hope that your children all had a great summer! There were lots of fun experiences and activities over the last couple of months for sure. Now, it’s time to turn our thoughts to getting ready for school! We are truly excited about what the next few months have in store and all of the amazing things that your children will be learning.

As we look forward to the fall season, we would like to invite our current families as well any new families looking for a terrific preschool for their young children to our Back to School Open House on Saturday, August 5th from 10am-1pm. We will open our legendary playgrounds, and have some fun activities set up to engage your children.

For our children who will be moving from Pre-K to public kindergarten, Mr. Matt will be doing a “mock bus run” on Tuesday, August 15th. If your PK child is currently enrolled for our school age program, please see the office to get the proper paperwork completed for our “bus run” on that day. We will be leaving the building at 10:30 am that day, taking the children by their public school and showing them exactly where they will be dropped off and picked up.

We are excited about the “Celebration of Learning” for our children who are finished their Pre-K year with us for mid-August. They have been working hard this summer and we are excited as we watch them blossom into their Kindergarten year! The celebration will be on Thursday, August 17th from 5:30pm -6:30pm in the Pre-K classroom. Please plan on attending and celebrating your child’s successes!!

If you have not pre-registered your child for our 17-18 school year, please do so as soon as possible as our classes are filling and we do not want anyone to miss out!!

Transition packets will be distributed in the office the week of August 14th. At this time, you will receive information about your child’s new classroom, their teacher(s), and some of the skills that your children will be working on during the year. New tuition rate reminders will be distributed at this time as well.

Thanks to all of you who purchased lemonade and treats from Alex’s Lemonade Stand! Our school age children raised $408.00 to support research on eradicating childhood cancer.

Just some reminders:

· Be sure your child has seasonally appropriate extra clothing in their cubbies.

· Check your calendars each week for our fun activities for preschool and school age programs!

· Taking a vacation???? Notify a manager as soon as possible and we will help you

understand our vacation policy.

Although summer is coming to an end, please don’t forget sunscreen and insect repellent for your child! Also please make sure your child is wearing safe and appropriate clothing. Children should wear closed-toe shoes. No sandals or Jellies please. They are not safe).

Don’t forget to sign your child in before you take them to class and out after you pick up your child. Thank you so much for your cooperation!
