A Note from Our Principal:
Dear Parents,
Once again, we want to thank all of our families for donating to our School Age project “Alex’s Lemonade Stand”. We were able to raise $550.13, which all directly goes to the charity to help fight childhood cancer! Our Junior Counselors worked hard and did an incredible job, but we definitely could not have done it with the help and support of all of you!
We are entering our final stretch of summer and Back to School is just around the corner! Please review the important dates and notes below regarding our transition from summer to Back to School!
Sincerely,
Alice Reed
Summer Safety:
August is here and it is the hottest time of the year! Please bring in a bottle of sunscreen and bug spray labeled with you child’s name and place it in their cubby. All students will have sunscreen and bug spray applied before each outdoor activity. We will monitor the heat index daily to ensure students are only outside for a safe period of time.
Splash Day:
We will have our final Splash Day of the summer on August 18th for our preschool and school aged students. We will also be celebrating the last day of summer with a cookout and we welcome all parents to join us as we wrap up our fantastic summer! Details will be shared through Links 2 Home as the date nears. Please remember to bring the following items for your child:
- swim suit
- swim shoes (Please NO Crocs or flip flops)
- swim diaper (if applicable)
- towel
- sunscreen
- complete change of clothes and shoes to change into after splashing
School-Age Field Trips and Events:
Links 2 Home is just one of the ways to keep on track with field trip times and requirements. We will also provide the most up to date calendar outside the School-Age classroom, as well as in the lobby. We must have a parent’s signature on each permission slip for each field trip in order for your child to attend. All of the summer permission slips are available in the School Age classroom at the parent information table.
Please visit our Camp page for a detailed calendar!
