A Note from Our Principal,
Thank you so much to your OUTSTANDING support in Alex’s Lemonade Stand Fundraiser. We raised $897.28 through our Xplor Families, friends, Staff and the local Businesses. The local business were Albertsons, Huffines-Subaru and Wal-Mart. The winners of the raffles were Stephanie M. “free house cleaning,” Tristan C. winner of “Traxxas Truck” & Hope B. winner of the Bundt Cake that feeds 20 people.

Fall Open House
Our open house will be Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. We will have lemonade and cookies with make-it-take -it fall art activities.
Huffines – Subaru Monetary and Classroom items Donations
We cannot thank them enough for the OVER generous donations that will enhance our children classrooms. The classroom teachers are excited and the children will have the best time ever experiencing their new things.
End of the Summer Bash
Filled with food, fun, games and water play will be August 11, 2017 for ALL age groups watch for sign-up sheets, as the event gets closer. The water play will be in the morning at the children outside time and party portion will at 3pm in their classrooms.
New Classroom Transitions
Start the week of August 21-25, 2017 and the first day of your child’s new possible classroom will be August 28, 2017. Transition letters and packets given out to those families of children that are moving up and the new classroom roster will be on the classroom window the week of August 21-25, 2017. Parents will have the opportunity to meet and greet their child’s new teacher on August 23th & 25th, from 5:30-6:30 pm. During this time, you are welcome to visit your child’s new classroom and talk to the teacher about your child’s upcoming year in their new classroom.
Elementary School’s returning back to school Wednesday, August 16, 2017
The 1st Day of school will be August 16, 2017 for Denton and Lake Dallas School District.
Summer Safety Guidelines
Hot weather is upon us! Please take note of the following tips to help us keep your child safe in the heat:
- Send your child to school in weather-appropriate clothing. Lightweight, breathable fabrics are best.
- Check your child’s cubby to be sure that extra clothes are also weather appropriate.
- Close-toe shoes, rather than sandals or flip-flops should be worn for the safety of the child’s feet.
Splash Day
We will have Splash Day is once a month for our preschool aged students. The dates as followed: August 11, 2017. On these days they will need to bring with them a swimsuit, water shoes, a towel, and swim diaper if applicable. Each year our students look forward to these special days and we can’t wait to share the fun photos with you through Links 2 Home!
Re-enrollment for the 2017-18 School Year
Time and space is running out to enroll for the 2017-2018 School Year if you’ve not already done so. Please let me know your fall plans. Please let us know if you have questions.
Your junk is our treasure
We will be collecting items to enrich our classrooms during the month of June and we would sincerely appreciate your help. We are in need of empty cereal boxes, juice bottles, magazines, egg cartons, and other similar items for our Home Centers. The children can be even more creative during dramatic play when they have these types of items to use.
School-Age Field Trip Reminder
Please be sure to sign the field trip permission binder to make sure your child(ren) can attend each field trip of your choice.
Vacation Request form
If you are going to be out on vacation please be sure to fill out the vacation request form located at the front desk.
