A Note from Our Principal
Welcome to September Xplor Families! I can’t believe our summer is gone and it is time once again to settle into our school year routine. Transition week was a huge success and we appreciated you patience, as we know it can be a big adjustment for everyone. We are so excited for the new school year and appreciate your continued support and dedication.
Sincerely,
Principal Shereena
Charleston’s Wrap Fundraiser
We are kicking off our first fundraiser of the year with Charleston’s Wrap until September 15th. Our goal for the fundraiser is to help buy new outdoor equipment from tricycles to basketballs. The class that raises the most will get a pizza party!
Grandparent’s Day Pancake Breakfast
On Friday, September 8th from 7-9 am, we are inviting all grandparents or special family members to come and have a pancake breakfast in our school-age classroom. There will be a crafts station and a photo booth with pictures being taken for $1 by Mrs. Mihaela. We hope to see everyone there!
Helping Houston Xplor Schools
We will be collecting donations for our sister schools, in Houston, TX whose families and staff have been displaced by Hurricane Harvey. We are asking for gift cards, canned and non-perishable food items, clothes for all ages and blankets. Please drop off your items at the front desk.
Teacher Appreciation Initiative
Teachers work diligently towards ensuring that our children achieve individual success and we would like to honor them by partnering with parents in a random gift card campaign. If you have any gift cards that you would like to donate; please drop them off at the front desk. These gifts cards will be randomly given to teachers to show them our appreciation.
Fall Festival Information
Be on the lookout for information coming soon for our fall festival on Saturday, October 14th from 2-5 pm. We will be having a silent auction, games, dunk tank, hay rides, pie eating contest and food!
Fall Professional Development Day
Teachers work diligently towards ensuring that our children achieve the best educational care available to them. One way that we guarantee that our teachers are truly prepared, is by attending professional development day. On, Friday, November 10th, Infants through Pre-K 2 classrooms will be closed; whereas, our Private Kindergarten and School-Age classrooms will be open regular business hours of 6:30 am to 6:30 pm.
Reminders:
*Family vacation requests must be submitted at least two weeks prior to your vacation date. Those forms are at the front desk and can be returned to a member of the management team.
*The deadline to enroll and dis-enroll your child from an ancillary vendor is the last Friday of the month. This provides time rosters to be created and sent to the respective coaches. If you are unsure if your child would like a certain vendor, speak to management and we will ensure that your child has a free demo day.
