Happy October! I welcome fall back with open arms! This is one of my favorite seasons. We hope that your children are having a great school year so far!
We would like to thank all of our parents who helped to support the families of our sister Xplor school in Houston that were affected by Hurricane Harvey. We truly appreciate your kindness and generosity – that meant a lot to them. Also, we say a big “thank you” to our families who came to our Meet the Teacher Night. We hope that this was in informative event for all involved. There are more fun activities and events this month so let Xplor October Fest begin!

Clothing Reminders
Fall is a great time to go through your child’s cubby and ensure they have the items needed to comfortably enjoy the coming months. Students should have a complete change of clothes in their cubby that includes;
- Pants
- A long-sleeved shirt or light sweater
- Socks
- Underwear
We are looking forward to lots of outdoor time as the weather cools off, and closed toed shoes are necessary for playing on the playground and participating in outdoor lessons. Please ensure that your child has appropriate footwear.
Pumpkin Painting Contest
Fall is a great time to build traditions and make memories! As part of our Links to Learning curriculum, we have special activities planned for each of our classes that focus on social and emotional growth. One of these is a school-wide pumpkin painting contest. Teachers in each classroom will work with students to come up with a plan for how to paint their class pumpkin. Each student will have their own role in the project, whether it is gathering supplies, adding paint, helping to clean up or placing the completed pumpkin in the lobby. The pumpkins will be on display the week of 10/23-10/27 for parents to vote on. The winning class will receive a special door decoration to display for their Halloween party.
