A Note from Our Principal,
Thank you all for participating in our Thanksgiving activities last month. We enjoy opportunities to get to know you better and are grateful for the time we get to spend together! December will be another fun and busy month for our teachers and students as we have continued with our Holiday Giving activities and kick-off Winter Break Camp. We hope you can join us for our class holiday parties and parent/staff cocoa and coffee break. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Sincerely,
Lauren Young
Parent’s Night Out
On December 15th, we will be hosting a parent’s night out. This event will run from 6:30pm-10:00pm. We will be playing games, doing arts & crafts, and watching movies. Dinner will also be provided for any students to attend. The cost for this event is $25. If you bring a sibling or a friend who is not currently enrolled, the cost is $20 per child.
Classroom Holiday Celebrations
Cutting, pasting and coloring are important for fine motor skill development and our favorite way to work on these skills in the month of December is to make holiday decorations with our students. Our classroom celebrations will be held on December 21st at 11:30am. We will be showcasing our student work, reading stories and sharing a family style meal together. We hope you can join us, but if you cannot we will be sure to share plenty of photos on Links 2 Home!
Canned Food Drive
We will kick off our school wide canned food drive on December 4th thru December 15th. All classes will be collecting canned goods for a local Food Pantry. If you would like to donate you may drop them off at anytime during the school day in the box provided by the front desk.
Winter Break Camp
School is out but camp is IN! One of our favorite things about the season is the extra time we get to spend with our school age students. Our camp dates are December 22nd-January 5th. We are closed on Monday, December 25th and Monday, January 1st. Here’s a quick snapshot of the fun activities we have planned:
· Kindness Rock Painting and Placement Field Trip
· Classroom Caroling
· Cinemark Movies
Please let us know by 12/18 if your child will be attending!
Vacations
Are you going out of town for the holidays? Please let us know as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly for staffing and ensure you are properly invoiced.
