Xplor of Corinth April 2018 Newsletter
A Note from Our Principal,
Spring has finally arrived and we want to make sure all of our students can take full advantage of our outdoor play spaces. One of the best ways to ensure this is for each child’s cubby to be cleaned out and ready for the season. Please make sure that your child’s cubby has a full set of well-fitting weather appropriate clothes that are labeled. Additionally, now is a great time to start collecting sunscreen so that we are ready for the first hot and sunny day of the year. Please label all containers of sunscreen that you send to school with your child. Our teachers are planning outdoor games, lessons and picnics to celebrate spring. We can’t wait to share these activities with your child!
Our Annual Spring Egg Hunt was a big success. The children and families that attended had an amazing time. Mr. Bunny came to visit as well and he was a sight to see. The younger children were a little out of sort, but the older children were excited to see him. Thank you ALL of the candy and eggs, it was very much appreciated; every child went home with eggs and candy. If you were not able to be there check your child(ren) cubby. Their egg bags are waiting for them.
Thank you for the parent survey participation. Your thoughts, compliments and suggests were duly noticed. We will continue to make Xplor’s environment a safe and fun early learning experience for your children. We will be diligently trying to improve our program throughout the year to make you proud.
Week of the Young Child (April 15th-20th)-During this time the children will be doing varies activities. We will celebrate the child, the community, the parents, the family and the teacher the entire week. There will be more information to follow as the event week approaches.
Our Annual School –Age Professional Development Day will be May 2018. The school-age teachers will be trained for summer safety and how to enrich the summer camp with amazing field trip, vendors and on site projects that keeps the children engaged throughout the summer
Please make sure your property in the parking lot is safe and sound as you are dropping off and picking up your children.
Sincerely,
Marilyn Inghram-Williams M.S.Ed.

Parent Teacher Conference
Our Parent Teacher Conferences are continuing in the month of April. Please watch your classroom for sign- up sheet with dates and time.
Parent Referral
Do you know any parents who have recently moved to the area, are expecting a baby or are unhappy with their current preschool? We value our current parents and would love more families like yours at our school! Refer a new family to our school and your family could receive a free week of tuition.
Change of Clothes
We are having unpredictable weather soon. Please remember to check that your child’s extra cubby clothes are appropriate for cooler days.
Your junk is our treasure
We will be collecting items to enrich our classrooms during the month of June and we would sincerely appreciate your help. We are in need of empty cereal boxes, juice bottles, magazines, egg cartons, and other similar items for our Home Centers. The children can be even more creative during dramatic play when they have these types of items to use.
School Age Parents
School Age parents: Please let us know by 2 pm if your child will not need Xplor transportation after school. Our buses are not allowed to leave a school without confirmation of your child’s whereabouts. If we are not informed in advance, this delay causes the children at the next school from being picked up on time.
