September 2018 News

Dear Parents,

Our school year is under way and we are enjoying getting to know each of your children. It takes approximately 6 weeks to build connections in the classrooms. Our teachers have a strong focus on building these connections with your child and making them feel safe. If a child feels safe and loved then the sky is the limit on their potential. With building connections during any relationship there will be conflict that arrives. We view conflict as a time to teach. We work closely with your child to give them the words to navigate through conflict and resolve a problem or come to an agreement. These are important life skills to make your child a successful adult later in life.

Many of you attended our Parents Night Out in August. We are happy to say that we will host our next Parents Night Out in October. Stay tuned for the date. We look forward to spending the evening with your child. With fall in the air, be sure to check your child’s cubby for extra clothing and that it is appropriate for the weather.

Sincerely,

Anita Johnson, Principal

Shirley Gent, Assistant Principal
