A Note from Our Principal,
We hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones and we enjoyed celebrating with you all last month. As the winter holidays approach we have many special events planned for our students and families and look forward to spending time with you all. We’ve also enclosed important winter and holiday procedure reminders in this newsletter. Please read through it carefully and reach out if you have any questions. Happy Holidays!
School Lighting Celebration
On Saturday December 7th at 6:00 pm we will be kicking off the holiday season. We will be lighting the school, making holiday crafts and having some sweet treats. Please join us for the festivities and a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
Holiday Giving Initiative-City House of Plano
Every holiday season our school chooses a local charity to benefit from teaching our students the importance of giving. This year we have selected City house of Plano. City House is an emergency shelter for children who are experiencing abuse, neglect or homelessness. The list of needs varies from the everyday to gift cards. Please help us support this local mission. We will be collecting goods until December 6th. Thank you in advance for all your help.
Please let us know in advance if you are planning on using your vacation credit to ensure that your account is not charged incorrectly. Thank you!
Our school is closed on December 25th for Christmas and January 1st for New Year’s Day.
Winter Break Camp
We will be holding Winter Break Camp for our School-Age students from December 23rd-January 3rd. In addition to several field trips we will have community service activities, STEAM learning opportunities and holiday themed projects planned. Students may attend all or part of Winter Break Camp, please let us know by December 18th if your child will be attending.
Classroom Holiday Celebrations—Thursday, December 19th
Through the month of December our classes will be learning about different winter holidays and customs. On Friday, December 19th at 3:30 p.m. our students will celebrate the holiday season with class parties and a book exchange. Parents are welcome to attend, and we will share extra photos on Links 2 Home for those who cannot come. Be on the lookout for class party sign ups.
