A Note From Our Principal,
We hope your children enjoyed their fall lessons, pumpkin themed activities and classroom celebrations last month. Seeing our students enjoy their Halloween costumes and fall attire is one of the highlights of the year for us. Thank you for allowing us to be part of these special occasions! This month we are focusing on gratitude and connecting with others. Though we cannot hold our normal Thanksgiving community meal this year we have many special activities planned for our students and are looking forward to sharing photos with you all on Links 2 Home. As always, please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Melissa Lathrop
Health and Safety Measures
The health and safety of our children and families is always our highest priority. To mitigate the risks of COVID-19 while children are in our care, we have adopted additional health and safety measures based on CDC guidelines, state and local regulations, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Visit our school website to learn more information.
Our parents are vital partners in helping us to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the students in our school
l. The most important thing you can do to assist us in creating a healthy environment is to keep your child home if they are ill. This reduces the spread of illness and allows your child to fully recuperate. Children may not attend school until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours if they display any of the following:
Fever of 100 degrees of more—must be fever free for 24 hours with no fever-reducing medicine before returning to school
Vomiting, diarrhea or stomach upset
Heavy nasal discharge requiring wiping every 3-5 minutes
Persistent, non-productive or barking cough
Sore throat
Skin rash, including diaper rash
Head lice
Symptoms of a communicable disease
Fussy, cranky behavior unlike the child’s normal demeanor that may indicate illness
For more information please see our Parent Handbook or reach out to a member of our administrative team

Thanksgiving Celebrations
Each of our classrooms will be celebrating Thanksgiving with a craft party and special treat on November 23rd. Students are making their own placemats and other Thanksgiving themed artwork to bring home to share with family members.
We know that families and staff typically look forward to our Thanksgiving celebration because they allow us to be together as a school community and give parents an opportunity to get to know their child’s classmates and parents. We are still not allowed to invite parents into our classrooms for celebrations and will be sharing extra photos with you all on Links 2 Home. Thank you for your positivity and flexibility!
