Our annual Fall Festival is just around the corner and we are SO excited! We would love for you to join us for a pancake breakfast, games, and prizes on the 10th! We will have face painting, a photo booth, carnival games, food, and prizes! It is a great day to do something fun with the family and meet other families in the community, and it’s all FREE! Feel free to bring friends, the more the merrier! We hope you will join us for the festivities!
Professional Development Day – Monday, November 12th – Xplor Preschool Closed
We will be closed for our semi-annual Professional Development Day on Monday, November 12th. This is a day that we have very important trainings for our teachers to enhance their skills in the classrooms, caring for and teaching your children. Our Preschool program will not be open for the day, which means if your child is in Infant, Toddler, Beginner, Intermediate, or Pre-K classrooms, you will need to make alternative arrangements for care. However, we will be picking up children for our after school program that day at 2:45pm when elementary schools are release. We also will not provide Before School care on the 12th.
CPR & 1st Aide at Xplor
Did you know that we host a monthly CPR class at Xplor? We encourage all families to be knowledgeable of infant/child CPR and 1st Aide procedures, you never know when you will need it! If you are interested in signing up for a class, please let me know. The cost is $25 per person.
Fall Picture Day – Thursday, November 15th
We will be taking individual school pictures on Thursday the 15th of November. Please bring your child dressed for picture day when you drop off. If you decide to bring a change of clothes, we will have your child change after pictures are taken. We will pass out sign up sheets for pictures the Monday before picture day, and ask that all forms be returned by Wednesday, November 14th, so that we can ensure a smooth and organized picture day. Pictures will start at approximately 8AM, and we typically go from the youngest age group (Infants) to the oldest (Pre-K 2). However, if your child arrives after his/her class has had pictures taken, we will come around to take individual children that did not make it in time.
Thanksgiving Luncheon – Friday, November 16th
We will be hosting our annual Thanksgiving Luncheon the Friday before Thanksgiving at lunchtime, and we encourage families to attend! We will provide Turkey, Green Beans, and Mashed Potatoes, but will have a sign up sheet posted for stuffing, pies, and other sides. We hope you will join us for the feast!
Thanksgiving Week – Monday, November 19th-Friday, November 23rd
Thanksgiving week is a very busy time at Xplor! Our school age program will be open all day for students that are not in school for the week, and we will have an abundance of fun activities planned! In order to plan our Thanksgiving week activities appropriately for all age groups, we kindly ask that you notify us as soon as possible if your child will not be attending any days during Thanksgiving week. We will have a Thanksgiving week sign up sheet posted on each classroom door no later than November 13th in hopes that you will provide dropoff and pick up times for your child the week of Thanksgiving. Providing us this information will be so helpful for us to plan effectively!
Parents’ Night Out – Friday, November 30th, from 6:30PM-10:30PM
We will be hosting the next Parents’ Night Out at the end of November! We love offering this evening for you to enjoy an evening kid-free! As parents, you are all so busy and certainly deserve a little extra time to yourselves! If you are interested in signing your child up for Parents’ Night Out, please do so by Wednesday, November 28th. The cost is $30 for the 1st child and $15 for each additional child. Proceeds for this Parents’ Night Out will go toward our staff holiday party! By the way, did you know that you could earn a FREE parents’ night out by posting a positive review on Yelp, Google, etc? If you love us, please spread the word!
Thank You
For the month of October, we had so many events that included parent participation, from our World Teachers’ Day potluck, to book/candy/party donations, to pumpkin decorating entries, to dressing up your children for our costumer parade and being an active spectator. This month would not have been nearly as festive, successful or fun without all of your participation and contribution! We really do appreciate all of you and what you do, and absolutely love all of our families and children at Xplor!
