School Closure Reminders
As a reminder, we do not always follow the closure schedule of the local public schools. Our goal is to be open as many days as possible to support our working parents. If we must close for any reason, you will receive a notification via Links 2 Home as soon as the closure is announced. We also post notifications on our website.
Winter Clothing Reminder
If you’ve not already done so, please check your child’s cubby to ensure they have an extra set of weather appropriate clothes. Students also need to come to school each day with a jacket and dressed warmly enough to play outside for part of the day. We want everyone to be able to participate!
Holiday Closures
Our school is closed on December 25th for Christmas Day and January 1st for New Year’s Day.
Winter Break Camp
We will be holding Winter Break Camp for our school-age students from December 21st through January 5th. Students will participate in community service activities, STEAM learning opportunities, holiday themed projects and virtual activities. Students may attend all or part of Winter Break Camp, please let us know by December 17th if your child will be attending.
Classroom Holiday Celebrations—Friday, December 18th
Through the month of December, our classes will be learning about different winter holidays and customs. On Friday, December 18th, our students will showcase their learning and the holiday décor they’ve created with a classroom celebration. Students will be celebrating with story time, crafts and cookie decorating. We will miss having parents attend this year’s holiday celebrations and know that you all will enjoy the holiday crafts that your student brings home!
Holiday Giving Project
This year for our Holiday Giving Project, we will be collecting gift cards and non-perishable items for the Community Storehouse. Every year they provide food and gifts to families in need in our area. Due to Covid, they are hosting a drive thru for these items and are requesting gift cards to allow families to purchase gifts. We will collect these items from December 2nd through December 11th. If you would like for information about the Christmas House Program please see their website.
Carter Bloodcare Blood Drive
We will be hosting Carter Bloodcare on December 17th from 2:00-4:30pm. Please follow the link to schedule a donation time. This will save 15 minutes of your donation time by completing the information in advance. Carter Bloodcare will also provide a free Covid-19 antibody test for all donors.
