Born From a Love of Discovery
Xplor Preschool was founded in 2008 in Fort Worth, Texas with a vision to create joyful, curiosity-driven early learning. The name Xplor captures our belief that children learn best when they are free to investigate, question, discover, and explore!
Why “Xplor”? The Power of Inventive Spelling
The unique spelling of our name highlights the value of inventive spelling in early literacy development. For young learners, writing is a phonological process. When we allow children to represent sounds the way they hear them (such as writing “xplor” for “explore”), we help build phonemic awareness and enhance their confidence as emerging writers. They feel empowered to keep writing, experimenting with words, and eventually mastering spelling and grammar as they grow.
Meet the “X”: Scout
The “X” in Xplor comes to life through Scout. Scout appears in visual drawings in many of our classrooms and helps children navigate their day. He offers a reassuring presence in spaces like the reading rug or dramatic play areas. This consistent symbol provides comfort, promotes independence, and supports smooth transitions throughout the school day.
Still Exploring, Always Growing
Xplor is a leading early childhood education provider serving children ages 6 weeks through Pre-K. We also offer before and after school care for our families with school-age children. This program provides students with a fun and structured space to start and end their day. Activities may include sports, dance, theater, chorus, music lessons, art, computers, and engineering. Our programs support each child’s academic, social, and emotional development through hands-on learning, strong teacher relationships, and a nurturing classroom space.
We proudly serve families across Texas with nine preschools located in Carrollton, Corinth, Crowley, Fort Worth – Parkwood Hill Blvd., Fort Worth – Timberland Blvd., Haslet, Mansfield, and McKinney. Each location features a state-of-the-art environment built for learning and purposeful play.

Today, Xplor is a part of Spring Education Group. Spring Education is a network of private schools dedicated to delivering more outstanding educational outcomes to more students across America. This has allowed Xplor to maintain its curiosity-inspired approach while benefiting from the shared resources and best practices of a larger organization.
