This week, our classrooms worked on a special project to learn about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the important values he shared with the world.
For our children ages 2–5, we focused on age-appropriate themes such as kindness, fairness, helping others, and using gentle words. Through art projects, simple discussions, books, and hands-on activities, the children learned that Dr. King believed everyone should be treated with love and respect.
The children created meaningful artwork to represent helping hands, friendship, and caring for one another. These activities allowed them to express their understanding in creative ways while building social and emotional skills.
At this age, learning about Dr. King is not about history dates or speeches, but about understanding how our actions—being kind, sharing, and standing up for friends—can make a difference. We are so proud of how engaged the children were and how thoughtfully they participated.
We encourage families to continue these conversations at home by talking about kindness, fairness, and helping others in everyday moments.
Thank you for supporting us as we help build a foundation of compassion, respect, and empathy in our children. 💙
