Our journey began with tiny caterpillars, and students eagerly observed them each day as they grew bigger and stronger. There was so much curiosity and wonder as we talked about what caterpillars need to survive and how they prepare for their next stage of life.
Soon after, we witnessed one of the most fascinating transformations—each caterpillar carefully formed its chrysalis. This stage sparked great conversations about patience, change, and the beauty of growth happening even when we cannot see it.
Now, the most exciting moment has arrived—our butterflies have begun to emerge! Students have been filled with joy watching them hatch, spread their wings, and prepare for flight. This experience has not only supported our science learning but has also encouraged observation skills, responsibility, and a deeper appreciation for nature.
We are so proud of how engaged and thoughtful our students have been throughout this process. Be sure to ask your child about their favorite part of the butterfly lifecycle—we’ve had so many special moments!
Thank you for allowing us to share in these meaningful learning experiences with your children.
