🌟 Pre-K Innovation in Action: Hologram Fun with MAGNA-Tiles! 🌟

Home / School News / 🌟 Pre-K Innovation in Action: Hologram Fun with MAGNA-Tiles! 🌟

The children began by working together to design and build a 3D pyramid structure using magnetic tiles. This step encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and spatial awareness as they experimented with shapes and angles to make their structure stable and symmetrical. We talked about geometric shapes like triangles and squares and how they come together to form larger 3D figures.

Once their pyramids were complete, we introduced the exciting part — using a phone to project a simple hologram-style image into the center of their creation! The children were amazed as the image appeared to “float” inside their structure. There were lots of wide eyes, big smiles, and curious questions about how it worked.

This hands-on activity supported learning in so many ways:

🔹 STEM Exploration – Students explored basic engineering and early physics concepts like reflection and light.
🔹 Critical Thinking – They tested designs, adjusted structures, and figured out what worked best.
🔹 Collaboration – Children shared ideas, took turns, and built together.
🔹 Creativity & Imagination – They imagined stories about the floating images and even suggested new designs to try next time!

Most importantly, our Pre-K learners experienced the joy of discovery. Activities like this help build confidence and show children that they can be creators, inventors, and problem-solvers.

We are so proud of their curiosity and teamwork. Ask your child to tell you about the “floating hologram” — they’ll be excited to share how they built it!

Stay tuned for more hands-on learning adventures in Pre-K! ✨
