A Note From Our Principal
We hope your children enjoyed their fall lessons, pumpkin themed activities and classroom celebrations last month. Seeing our students enjoy their Halloween costumes and fall attire is one of the highlights of the year for us. Thank you for allowing us to be part of these special occasions! This month we are focusing on gratitude and connecting with others. Though we cannot hold our normal Thanksgiving community meal this year we have many special activities planned for our students and are looking forward to sharing photos with you all on Links 2 Home. As always, please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Evelyn Smith

Illness Policy Reminder
Our parents are vital partners in helping us to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the students in our school. The most important thing you can do to assist us in creating a healthy environment is to keep your child home if they are ill. This reduces the spread of illness and allows your child to fully recuperate. For more information please see our Parent Handbook or reach out to a member of our administrative team.

Fall Pictures with Lifetouch
We will be taking individual school pictures on Friday, November 20th. Please bring your child dressed for picture day when you drop off. If you decide to bring a change of clothes, we will have your child change after pictures are taken. We will pass out sign up sheets for pictures the Friday before picture day, and ask that all forms be returned by Wednesday, November 18th, so that we can ensure a smooth and organized picture day. Pictures will start at approximately 8AM, and we typically go from the youngest age group (Infants) to the oldest (Pre-K 2). However, if your child arrives after his/her class has had pictures taken, we will come around to take individual children that did not make it in time.
COVID precautions during picture day –
Each photographer will take part in our screening process in addition to the Lifetouch screening before entering the building. Pictures will be taken in a room not currently utilized by students and staff, each photographer will be provided with a minimum 16′ x 18′ area to help maintain a safe distance. Lifetouch photographers implement no-contact posing each photographer will be assigned a teacher helper from your students class to ensure we get the best pictures safely. Infant/non-sitting children will require a blanket from home to be used on top of the noodles. ( we understand this may not match the background and must mention that we are unable to edit out the blanket). Should a child not have a blanket to sit on while photographing, unfortunately we will not be able to provide one for your student and will not be able to photograph your student. If your student is unable to photograph we will request a No Smiles JCPenney voucher from the photographer.
